This policy explains how Pic Mochi handles selected or entered content, permissions, local storage and sharing. The app is provided by Zhongbo Zhu.
Selected images and permissions
The app receives images you choose through system photo and file pickers, including filenames, dimensions, formats and existing metadata. Importing does not scan your entire library. Adding results to Photos requests add permission; actively deleting originals requests read/write access. No camera, microphone or device location permission is requested.
Processing and metadata
Decoding, previews and encoding run locally. WebP uses the bundled local libwebp library. Compression preserves capture dates and removes location by default, with adjustable settings; WebP output carries neither. ZIP preserves original files and their metadata, including any embedded location.
Local storage and retention
The app keeps input copies, outputs, previews, job parameters and original/saved-copy identifiers for task recovery and deletion checks. The compression working directory is excluded from system backups. ZIP uses an excluded temporary cache whose previous contents are cleared when that workspace is initialized again. Preferences such as language may be restored through system backups.
Removal and export
Deleting job records or clearing working files does not delete originals in Photos or Files, or withdraw exported copies. Delete App removes local app data; Offload App may keep it. Original deletion requires your action, removal of app protection, a saved copy, validation and system confirmation. Protection does not encrypt or hide files.
System and external services
There is no developer account system, application server, advertising, tracking, analytics SDK or remote AI. Images and jobs are not uploaded to the developer. iCloud downloads, cloud file sources, sharing destinations, Photos sync, the App Store and system diagnostics are handled by Apple or providers you choose. ZIP exports may contain sensitive metadata.
Website and email support
When you visit the website, hosting services may process IP addresses, requests and technical logs to deliver and secure pages. There are no ads, analytics scripts or tracking cookies; only an appearance preference is stored in the browser. Emailing kevin06nju@gmail.com sends your address, message and attachments to the developer through Gmail for support and necessary follow-up. Avoid unrelated sensitive information.
Contact, requests and updates
Zhongbo Zhu is the developer and person responsible for handling personal information, reachable at kevin06nju@gmail.com. Support messages are retained for handling requests and necessary recordkeeping. You may request access, correction or deletion, subject to legal retention requirements. This policy will be updated if data practices change, with appropriate permission obtained when required.
