This policy explains how Clip Mochi handles selected or entered content, permissions, local storage and sharing. The app is provided by Zhongbo Zhu.
Selected videos and permissions
System photo and file pickers provide only the videos you select, along with filenames, duration, dimensions, encoding details and existing metadata. Saving to Photos requests add permission; actively deleting originals requests read/write permission. The app does not record media or request camera, microphone or device location access.
On-device processing
Decoding, samples, transcoding and playback comparisons run through Apple media frameworks on your device. Videos are not uploaded to the developer. Creation dates are kept and location removed by default, with adjustable metadata settings. Encoding, color and audio may change; review the result before saving.
Local files and backups
The app stores input copies, outputs, previews, job settings and original/saved-copy identifiers locally. Its compression working directory is excluded from system backups; interface and language preferences may be restored through backups. Records remain until you delete tasks, clear working files or delete app data.
Deletion and sharing
Clearing task data does not delete originals in Photos/Files or exported copies. Original deletion requires your action, removal of protection, a saved copy, resource and permission checks and system confirmation. Protection does not encrypt or hide media. Sharing hands files to your selected system feature or destination; exported copies are not withdrawn when you delete app records.
External services and network
There is no developer account system or application server, advertising, tracking, analytics SDK or remote AI. Local codec dependencies in shared components are not cloud services. Selected iCloud originals, cloud files, Photos sync, the App Store and system diagnostics are handled by Apple or the relevant provider.
Website and email support
When you visit the website, hosting services may process IP addresses, requests and technical logs to deliver and secure pages. There are no ads, analytics scripts or tracking cookies; only an appearance preference is stored in the browser. Emailing kevin06nju@gmail.com sends your address, message and attachments to the developer through Gmail for support and necessary follow-up. Avoid unrelated sensitive information.

Support messages are retained for handling requests and necessary recordkeeping. You may request access, correction or deletion, subject to legal retention requirements. This policy will be updated if data practices change, with appropriate permission obtained when required.
