Piploom

Privacy policy

Updated · 2026-10-25

This policy explains how Piploom handles selected or entered content, permissions, local storage and sharing. The app is provided by Zhongbo Zhu.

Selected photos

The app receives photos you select through the system picker, without full-library browsing permission. It creates local JPEG working copies with a maximum long edge of 4096 pixels and does not modify originals in Photos.

Local projects and backups

Photo copies, deck names, text, crops, styles, theme versions, drafts, favorites, presets and recovery files are stored locally. There is no developer cloud sync. These files are not excluded from system backups and may be backed up according to your Apple settings.

Photos, Files and sharing

Add-only Photos permission is requested only when you save to Photos; file export works without it. Loading iCloud photos, importing/saving projects through cloud file providers and sharing are handled by services you choose. Photos are used locally for deck creation and are not uploaded to the developer.

Exported content

PNG exports contain the 1500 × 2100 artwork without source-photo location or device metadata. A .puker project contains working photo copies, text and editing data in a standard, unencrypted ZIP container. Recipients receive what you share; exported copies are not removed when you delete app content.

Retention and deletion

Deleting a deck does not remove originals in Photos or external exports. Photo copies referenced by undo or recovery data may remain in the app sandbox. Clearing temporary exports removes only cache files. Delete App removes local app data; Offload App may preserve it. Export important projects beforehand.

Third parties and network

There is no account system, application server, advertising, tracking, analytics SDK or remote AI. Fonts and themes are bundled locally; rendering does not request online fonts. Backups, Photos, Files, sharing, the App Store and diagnostics are handled by Apple or your selected providers.

Website and email support

When you visit the website, hosting services may process IP addresses, requests and technical logs to deliver and secure pages. There are no ads, analytics scripts or tracking cookies; only an appearance preference is stored in the browser. Emailing kevin06nju@gmail.com sends your address, message and attachments to the developer through Gmail for support and necessary follow-up. Avoid unrelated sensitive information.

This policy will be updated if data practices change, with appropriate permission obtained when required.
