This policy explains how Penny Pouch handles selected or entered content, permissions, local storage and sharing. The app is provided by Zhongbo Zhu.
Ledger information
Amounts, transaction types, categories, dates, notes, plans, payment/reimbursement progress and templates are processed and saved on device. The app does not connect to banks, read card transactions or make payments. The ledger currently uses CNY. Salary estimate inputs are temporary to that screen and are not written to the ledger.
Speech and permissions
Speech input requests microphone and system recognition permission, checks on-device capability and requires on-device recognition without a cloud fallback. Audio passes through memory buffers and is not saved to disk. Photo, location, contact and camera permissions are not requested.
Storage and backups
The ledger uses local atomic JSON storage and iOS file protection. Drafts and display preferences are kept in local settings. There is no developer cloud sync, but files are not excluded from system backups and may be backed up under your Apple settings. Hiding amounts changes presentation, not encryption.
Reminders, import and export
With permission, plan names, due messages and identifiers are passed to iOS local notifications and may appear on the lock screen. Import accesses only the JSON file you select, potentially from iCloud Drive or another file provider. Sharing JSON/CSV passes it to your chosen destination. Full JSON exports exclude unsaved drafts and device display preferences.
Retention, deletion and external services
You can edit or delete local records. Delete App removes local app data; Offload App may preserve it. Delete external backups and exports at their destinations separately. There is no application server, account system, advertising, analytics or remote AI, and ledger data is not uploaded to the developer. Opening reference links, such as salary calculation sources, involves your browser and the destination site under their policies.
Website and email support
When you visit the website, hosting services may process IP addresses, requests and technical logs to deliver and secure pages. There are no ads, analytics scripts or tracking cookies; only an appearance preference is stored in the browser. Emailing kevin06nju@gmail.com sends your address, message and attachments to the developer through Gmail for support and necessary follow-up. Avoid unrelated sensitive information.

Support messages are retained for handling requests and necessary recordkeeping. You may request access, correction or deletion, subject to legal retention requirements. This policy will be updated if data practices change, with appropriate permission obtained when required.
