This policy explains how Memo Chirp handles selected or entered content, permissions, local storage and sharing. The app is provided by Zhongbo Zhu.
Speech, text and permissions
Recording requests microphone and system speech recognition permission. The app checks on-device support and requires on-device recognition. If unsupported, typing remains available without server transcription fallback. Audio is processed through memory buffers; no audio file is stored.
Local information
Transcripts, titles, content, types, dates, shopping items and completion states are kept in local record files. Drafts and language preferences are stored in local settings. Files use atomic writes and iOS file protection. There is no developer sync, but these files are not excluded from system backups and may be backed up according to your Apple settings.
Notifications
With your permission, reminder titles, content or default messages and local identifiers are passed to iOS notifications and may appear on the lock screen. Manage previews in system settings. The app does not read contacts, photos or system calendars, or write to Apple Reminders.
Retention, deletion and exports
Records remain until you delete them in the app or use Delete App to remove app data. Offload App may retain data. Sharing text or exporting JSON passes content to your chosen system feature or recipient. JSON includes records and transcripts, not audio. External copies are not withdrawn when you delete app records.
Network and services
There is no developer account system, application server, advertising, tracking, analytics SDK or remote AI. Speech and records are not uploaded to the developer. Speech capabilities, backups, notifications, sharing and the App Store are handled by Apple or your chosen providers.
Website and email support
When you visit the website, hosting services may process IP addresses, requests and technical logs to deliver and secure pages. There are no ads, analytics scripts or tracking cookies; only an appearance preference is stored in the browser. Emailing kevin06nju@gmail.com sends your address, message and attachments to the developer through Gmail for support and necessary follow-up. Avoid unrelated sensitive information.

Support messages are retained for handling requests and necessary recordkeeping. You may request access, correction or deletion, subject to legal retention requirements. This policy will be updated if data practices change, with appropriate permission obtained when required.
